I agree that textbook prices are ridiculous. I had a textbook for my French class that was $260, and I couldn't by it used. I think it's crazy. In all fairness, BYU does a lot to keep prices down.
I agree with you Lindsay. Some of the textbooks, even in paperback, are just too expensive. Also, BYU sometimes does not have used books of a certain subject, so you're forced to pay for it, in full, as a new book.
It isn't the book stores fault the books are too expensive. The have to pay so many people just to have the right to sell you the book. I guess the only way to get it cheaper would be to buy it straight from the author. Even then you would have to pay the publisher.
getting to class on time is an issue I agree with because there is a massive line of students walking to get into their next class, not to mention the students who stop in the middle to make conversation with someone.
