I was talking with my friend about getting a bike just the other day. I agreed that it would make getting to class faster, but if you don't get there early, you may not be able to find a place to park your bike, which could make you even later. I live in herarage halls and those bike racks are always full, too.
I agree as well,it's a very effective way to get to class, but unless you leave early enough to get a spot on the bike rack, you're going to be late. In fact and I have to rack my bike about six minutes from my hall just to get a spot.
